The Meaning of Rain Water
Rain Water (Yushui), starts as the sun crosses 330° Longitude (0° Pisces). Please join the thousands of practitioners worldwide who will usher in this event by practicing the Rain Water Empowerment.
The seasonal phase known as Rain Water represents the second stage of Spring. The theme of springtime is new possibilities and the excitement they generate. Over the next fifteen days nature will undergo changes and reveal new qualities that you can also awaken in yourself and use to align with the movement of life.
In the prior seasonal phase, Start of Spring, we initiated a new seasonal cycle. That phase signaled the “beginning of the beginning,” a time of perfect freedom and the accompanying state of openness that arises when we contemplate infinite possibilities. We witnessed the new year standing before us like a pristine field of virgin snow, and now, as we enter the second phase of the year, we are going to mark the ground by taking our first footstep.
What does this footstep look like? We’ll take our cue from the seasonal changes unfolding around us. At this stage of the yearly cycle, days are growing longer. The average temperature over the next fifteen days will be higher than the average temperature over the last fifteen days. The frosty earth is continuously feeding on a diet of warmer sunlight and fresh rainwater and those nutrients are going to stir the slumbering seeds blanketed below the surface.
During Rain Water, you align with nature by “stirring” the seeds of creativity that lie dormant deep within your psyche. The time is ripe for you to illuminate your mind and realize a new vision—one that will unfold over the coming year. The theme of Rain Water is the revelation of a new vision and the way to awaken this vision is by practicing total and absolute surrender in the face of the unknown.
Imagine standing at the edge of a diving board on a floating dock in the middle of a large pond on a moonless night. You're going to jump into the water that is reflecting the stars, but you don’t know how high up above the water you are. Maybe the surface lies five feet below your feet. Maybe twenty-five. Maybe more... To avoid injury, you must be completely relaxed and leap into the starry void in a state of total surrender.
The visionary quest is a plunge into unknown depths and this process requires completely letting go. To awaken an authentic vision, find a quiet place, close your eyes, and let yourself dive down into the boundless abyss that leads to the heart of the mind. Plummet towards your Third Eye which lies at the center of your head. Keep on falling within, and eventually, this space becomes flooded with energy and an image will form. If this image is charged with a sense of spiritual meaning, consider it your vision.
Grasp it! Write it down! Remember it! This vision contains deep inner wisdom that will guide you through springtime and beyond. Don’t judge it. Don’t question it. Don’t doubt it. Let it be. Give the vision breathing space to unfurl in the seedbed of your imagination. The time for clarity and action is coming soon, but it hasn’t arrived yet. For now, simply nurture the image gestating in your mind’s eye the way a mother would lovingly caress the developing child inside her swollen belly.
